ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY for FREEHOST.NET.AU Free Hosting Accounts

As FreeHost.net.au provides a totally free service, we think it's only fair that you abide by our rules of acceptable use. For further information on our service visit our Frequently Asked Questions page and also our Terms of Service page.

The following sorts of content and/or websites containing such content will be DELETED if they are found on FreeHost.net.au's servers:

• Spam/spammy sites websites and/or web pages:
  Basically sites whose sole purpose is to harvest content and mash it up (creating a page which no one wants to view) - simply for the purpose of gaining traffic from search engines. We get a lot of these: Russia we're very dissapointed! That said, we regularly do an audit of all websites and pages hosted on our servers and if they don't make this test, they're gone. This also includes sites and web-pages which re-direct the surfer to any of the typical "shock tactic" websites (e.g. to "you are infected, porn has been found on your computer and so on")
• Link farms:
  There is no point building a website and/or webpages which simply link to thousands of other free host pages and various other sites. Link to other sites in moderation folks.
• Any scripts, databases or content that places too much strain on FreeHost.Net.au's servers:
  This is a bit more complex, but essentially if you want to host a really CPU or server load intenstive website, please consider a paid hosting option. As a free host we only have so much resources to go around. If you need to host such a site please consider commercial hosting.
• Any sites and/or webpages which link to the following sorts of content (but not limited to):
  Warez, cracks, software serials, torrents and or torrent files, software piracy, illegal mp3s, copyrighted material: including, but not limited to, commercial Mp3s, commercial movies or any other sort of copyrighted material. Basically, you need to own the copyright to any content you upload to your account.
• Any sites and/or webpages which link to the following sorts of content (but not limited to):
  Virus, trojan, hacking, spoofing, phishing, IRC, fraud or any other dubious software which in some way can infringe on an end-users internet experience (by the way, we determine this)
• Auto generated signups:
  It's pretty obvious when 5 to 50 sites get registered from the same IP/IP range within an hour. Auto sign ups are not tolerated as they are always used to create spam and/or malicious sites (see above). We terminate any auto-sign up account.
• Our free hosting "end-game" scenario:
  We are are a free host. We provide free hosting. We keep the servers running, we help you as much as we can to help you with an online presence.
  
  This is a FREE web hosting service: don't abuse it!
  
  If you do violate our ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY, we will delete your account and any associated data: there is NO WAY WE CAN UNDELETE YOUR ACCOUNT.
  Your account and site contents will be gone forever, there will be no way to get any of your webpages or databases back!
  
  Having said all this, if you are a genuine web hosting client and you play by the rules and don't try to "abuse" or "manipulate" the system, FreeHost.net.au will do its best to make sure you are getting the best possible free web hosting experience possible!
